Our 17th Continuous Professional Development Activity was conducted as a field visit to the Wivenhoe Dam on Saturday, 1 July 2023, as reported below
Approximately 22 participated in this insightful visit to study the operational details and the significance of this dam for its role as a buffer for flood mitigation in Brisbane, which has been in the public limelight in recent years.
Mr Shaun Warner, Coordinator of Dam, Recreation and Catchment Operations and Mr Matthew O’Reilly, Senior Dam Operator, organised and coordinated the field visit. Twenty people attended the event lasting approximately three hours, receiving the content well and ending with a lively Q&A session and BBQ.
