Our 12th Continuous Professional Development Activity was also conducted as an online presentation and took place on Sunday, 07 November 2021. A report on the presentation is given below.
A panel interview was conducted with Mr. Ian Macfarlane – CEO Qld Resources Council. Mr. Macfarlane served as Australia’s longest-serving Federal Resources and Energy Minister with over 14 years of experience in both cabinet and shadow ministerial positions and retired from Parliament in 2016. This was a rare opportunity with an authoritative source at the highest levels of the resources industry in Queensland.
Mr. Macfarlane provided an insight into the current status and future prospects of the Queensland mining industry during this panel interview. The event was attended by a number of participants from around Australia and overseas, including Sri Lanka.
